RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
If so then your best option is to have a responsive website. Responsive web design is simply web design that responds/adjusts to the size of the device’s browsing window (Desktop computer, Tablet, mobile phone) that a website is being viewed from. This is accomplished by creating custom styles within the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) and telling the browsers on the devices when to apply the specific styles. This is done through what is known as media queries.
Media queries define styles that are to be applied when browsers have certain pixel widths. For example a media query for a phone would tell the browser to apply styles if the browsing window was 320 pixels or less since most mobile phones have a browsing window that is less than or equal to 320 pixels (this does vary and the width is actually increasing with more high resolution phones coming into the market) when a phone is in portrait view. Below are screen shots of my website’s designs at different browser dimensions.
If you are interested in having your website made responsive then feel free to give me a call for a quote.
RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN EXAMPLES BELOW
4 BIG benefits of Responsive Design are
1. Easier for clients to view your site on any device (~30% of website visits are from mobile users). This means that potential clients won’t ditch your site and find a competitor’s site that is mobile.
2. Makes it easier for potential clients to call you when they view your site on your phone because of clickable responsive phone number buttons. (These can be done on non-responsive sites, but the layout of the site would become distorted.
3. Improves your ranking with Google.
4. To compete with your competition who is most likely already mobile.
Here are screen shots of my site when viewed from a desktop, Tablet, and a phone
(1280 pixels by 770 pixels)
Tablet view (iPad4)
(768 pixels by 1024 pixels)
Mobile view (iPone6)
(375 pixels by 667 pixels)
As you can see the layout “responded” and adjusted so that my site fit in the browsing window on each device. This makes it unnecessary for users on smaller desktops, Tablets, and phones to span in order to see the content. Without a doubt responsive design is the way of the future and all websites that don’t have responsive site are missing out on the large market of mobile users.
So, I was getting this error message when I tried starting up WAMP “exception Exception in module wampmanager.exe at 000F15A0 could not execute run action the directory name is invalid”
I read on a few forums that the solution was to update Windows C ++ and/or update Java. I did both and neither one solved my problem.
I then went directly into my wamp folder and click on the wampmanager link and it opened up just fine. The problem was that the pinned WAMP manager icon was linked to an old install. Anyways, I hope this helps out someone if they are having issues.
